When You Have Curly Hair, it Can Be Fun and Aesthetically Appealing
This month, our blog topic focuses on basic methods for achieving curly hair. At Pure Excellence Hair Design, we do various hairstyles, including straight, wavy, and curly hair options. We welcome customers to visit our salon so we can help you pick the right hairstyle, including perms. In between visits, you can get curly hair at home if you use curling irons, hot rollers, or t-shirt halos.
Use Curling Irons, Hot Rollers, or T-shirt Halos to Get Curly Hair at Home
The easiest way to get curly hair at home is using curling irons, t-shirt halos, or hot rollers. T-shirt halos make ring-like curls. To make a t-shirt halo, twist it in on itself to create a rope. Secure the rope’s ends to form the t-shirt halo. Put the t-shirt halo on your damp head, pull up your hair, and wind it into a circle. Once you have your hair wrapped around the t-shirt halo, sleep on it—curly hair will show in the morning.
Hot Rollers Make Different Types of Curly Hair Depending on Their Barrels
If you go with hot rollers, be mindful of their barrel size. The smaller the hot roller barrel, the tighter the curl. Hot rollers vary, so we decided not to list instructions in our blog. We suggest adhering to the directions that come with your hot roller set.
Five Steps to Easily Achieve Getting Curly Hair at Home with a Curling Iron
When using a curling iron, its barrel size also matters. Curling irons with 3/4-inch barrels tight create ringlets. Those with 1 ½-inch barrels make loose, voluminous curls. To use a curling iron at home, follow these step-by-step instructions:
- Apply heat protectant after cleaning your hair
- Towel dry, and remove tangles from your hair; separate it into, at minimum, four sections
- Fully blow-dry your hair while you heat up the curling iron
- In the curling iron barrel, wrap each section and hold for between five and eight seconds
- Switch directions between counterclockwise and clockwise
Get a Professional Perm at Your Salon to Achieve Curly Hair As Well
Perms – short for permanent hairstyles – are chemical treatments we use to change hair’s natural texture. Perms take straight hair and add a curl or wave. The perm process changes your hair’s structure from straight to curly indefinitely. When you get a perm, your straight hair wraps around rollers or rods. Pure Excellence then applies the perm solution to the hair. In a cold perm, that’s all that takes place. In a digital perm, the rods get hot to activate the perm by restructuring the hair’s follicles with heat.
